We returned from Kentucky on September 18th and winterized the trailer on October 10th.
We woke the trailer up on May 15th and took it to the Airstream Factory Service Center in Jackson Center, OH for an annual inspection and maintenance. After nearly 87,500 miles of travel, we needed some serious work.
- repacked wheel bearings
- replaced brakes
- replaced shocks
- reattached some loose cabinets
- rebuilt the dump valve
- replaced a few missing rivets
We replaced the batteries on July 13th (they were 6 years old) and the powered tongue jack on July 19th.
Some spiffing up was in order, too. We repainted the steps and hitch, and replaced the chrome rub rail around the front of the trailer.
Ahh. Such fun!
